About Volunteering

Volunteering is the effort an individual offers to their community through personal motivation and without expecting financial compensation, with the aim of taking responsibility in humanitarian and social work. The “International Organization for Human Rights and Refugee Affairs” is committed to promoting and spreading the culture of volunteerism in order to support community development and benefit from all voluntary efforts. This is achieved by developing volunteers’ capacities and helping them realize their potential through training in various fields of charitable and humanitarian work.

For this reason, we launched this platform to serve as a starting point for investing in volunteers’ efforts and encouraging their active participation through contributing to the establishment of civil society organizations that complement the role of public and private sector institutions in achieving the vision of the International Organization for Human Rights and Refugee Affairs 2030.

About Volunteering

The Volunteer Work Charter regulates the relationship between the volunteer and the initiative. It serves as a general reference for all its members. The charter may be amended or supplemented with additional annexes whenever necessary by a decision of the Board of Directors, in accordance with the objectives and methods of the volunteer work initiative.

Volunteering is the effort an individual offers to their community through personal motivation and without expecting compensation, with the aim of taking responsibility in humanitarian and social work. The “International Organization for Human Rights and Refugee Affairs” is committed to promoting and spreading the culture of volunteerism to support community development and benefit from all voluntary efforts, by developing volunteers’ capacities and helping them achieve self-growth through training in various fields of charitable work.

For this reason, we launched this platform to serve as a starting point for investing in volunteers’ efforts and encouraging their active participation through contributing to the establishment of civil society organizations that complement the role of public and private sector institutions in achieving the vision of the International Organization for Human Rights and Refugee Affairs 2030.

  • The Volunteer Work Charter regulates the relationship between the volunteer and the initiative. It serves as a general reference for all its members. The charter may be amended or supplemented with additional annexes whenever necessary by a decision of the Board of Directors, in accordance with the objectives and methods of the volunteer work initiative:
  • The volunteer must maintain good conduct and behavior, as well as a professional appearance that reflects positively on their religion, country, and contribution to society, while avoiding the promotion of religious, sectarian, or political disputes.
  • The volunteer is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of any information or data they become aware of during their work, even after the completion of the volunteer assignment, as such information remains confidential.
  • The volunteer must not issue any media statement regarding the volunteer work they are involved in unless authorized by the Board of Directors or the direct supervisor of the volunteer work.
  • The volunteer is committed to the principles of teamwork, respecting different viewpoints among team members, and adopting dialogue instead of coercion as a means of decision-making, in a way that does not negatively affect the volunteer project.
  • The volunteer has the right to participate in expressing opinions, making appropriate decisions related to the development of volunteer work, and submitting written suggestions to the administration for consideration.

  • Inability to continue volunteer work, while providing acceptable reasons.
